Is Cinemak free?
Yes — the Cinemak app is completely free and unlimited: unlimited recording, the full editor, and MP4 export at every quality including 4K / 60fps, with no watermark and no time limit. You also get up to 3 videos hosted on Cinemak Cloud. Cinemak Cloud ($9 / month) adds unlimited video hosting, viewer analytics, embeds and custom branding. AI Credits — for voice translation and avatar lip-sync — are sold separately as pay-as-you-go top-ups.
What's the difference between Cloud and AI Credits?
The app itself is free, so there are just two paid products and you can use either, both, or neither. Cinemak Cloud ($9 / month or $84 / year) is a subscription that adds unlimited video hosting, shareable links, viewer analytics, embeds, comments and custom branding. AI Credits are a prepaid wallet you top up inside the app — pay per second on voice translation ($0.99 / min) or AI avatar render ($5.99 / min). Neither requires the other — pick what you need.
How do AI Credits work?
They're a prepaid wallet, not a subscription — you top up right inside the desktop app, only when you need them. Voice translation costs $0.99 / minute of source audio; AI avatar lip-sync costs $5.99 / minute. We bill by the second (no rounding up), and credits stay valid 12 months. Built for episodic use: top up the day you make a video, leave it alone until next time.
Why are these called "launch prices"?
These are introductory prices for the launch window — they end on June 30, 2026. After that, Cinemak Cloud moves to $12 / month (or $108 / year). If you subscribe before the deadline, you lock in the launch rate for as long as your subscription stays active.
Which macOS version do I need?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel.
What permissions does it ask for?
Two. Screen Recording, to capture your display, and Accessibility, to track the cursor and clicks. macOS prompts you on first launch — both are managed in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
What can I export?
MP4 video at up to 60fps. Your zoom keyframes, cursor styling, background and webcam layout are all applied during export.
